We believe the Bible to be the
Word of God, inerrant & infallible,
the final and absolute authority.

We believe in one God eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe man was created directly in
God's image, that he fell into sin and
deserves eternal punishment.

We believe Jesus Christ was begotten
by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin
and is fully God and fully man.

We believe Christ Jesus died for our sins
as an atoning substitute sacrifice,
He arose bodily from the grave
and has ascended to the Father.

Question: How can I be sure I am going to Heaven?

Answer: Here is Good News for you! God is love! You were created in God's image to respond to His love. Yet the sad news is, we all have sinned against our Creator. The result of sin is separation from God! But God gave His Son Jesus to die for our sins! Christ took our place and suffered for us on the cross. Then He arose from the dead! Jesus is alive - to give life to us!

To be saved from spiritual death, you must repent and believe the Gospel. (Mark 1:15) That means you must turn away from your sin and put your trust in Jesus Christ. He will be your Lord and Savior! It is this Good News that saves you if you truly believe it. When you put your trust in Jesus, your name is written in His Book of Life.

Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you." Would you like to be certain you are going to Heaven? You can be sure right now! Pray to God with all your heart, "Father, I am a sinner. And I believe Your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me of my sins through Jesus. I turn from sin and give my life to You. Thank You for giving me eternal life."

If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved. (Romans 10:9 & 13) How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1)

Question: The Bible says many are called but few are chosen. Matt. 22:14
Sometimes I wonder if I was chosen.

Answer: The Bible says, "We love Him because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19
If the love of God is in you, and you love the Lord God, it is because He first loved you.

We must understand that God loves everyone. But not everyone loves God.

We cannot understand how it is that a loving God calls many but chooses few.
But we can trust Him. We know that everyone who chooses to love God is chosen by God.

It is like a man coming to a gate, with the words inscribed, "Whosoever will, enter in!"
And after passing through the gate, looking back and seeing the words inscribed,
"Chosen in Him before the foundations of the world were laid!"

Those people who reject God, and are condemned to eternal hell, have made that choice
of their own free will. Anyone who seeks God will find Him, according to His unfailing promise.

Above all, be sure of your salvation. Right now you can pray like this,
"Father, I want to be absolutely sure that I have peace with You through Jesus.
Forgive me of my sins as I put all my faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
I believe He died for my sins. Thank You for eternal salvation!"

It is by faith that we are saved, and it is by faith that we KNOW we are saved.
The Bible says, "I write these things to you who believe in the Name of the Son of God
so that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:13

"Be confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to
completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6 TRUST HIM!
I encourage you to once more read these chapters of John, 14 through 17, as Jesus
talks about those who have come to Him. You are kept safely in His loving care!

Jesus said, "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me,
and whoever comes to Me I will never drive away." John 6:37

Question: What about the literal State of Israel and the Jewish people in the end times?
Aren't all the end times biblical prophecies centered around them?

Answer: Thank you for your question.
In short, the biblical answer is: "No, Bible prophecies do not center on Israel."

First of all, the Israelites are very important in God's eternal plan:
"Theirs is the adoption as sons, theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law,
the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced
the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen." Romans 9:4-5

God's eternal plan began in Old Testament times, and Israel is central in that beginning.
Through Israel came the prophets, their writings, the temple and its picture of things to come.
Through Israel came the birth of Messiah Jesus, and it was in Jerusalem that He died for our sins.

But the New Testament is all about the church,
that is, born again believers in Christ, both Jews and Gentiles.
Jesus says, "I will build My church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18

The book of Revelation is written to the churches, as is made clear in the first 3 chapters.
The last 3 chapters make it clear that the future New Jerusalem is the home of only those whose names are written in the book of life, that is, those who are saved, born again believers in Jesus Christ.

In chapter 12 of Revelation, Israel is the woman who gives birth to Messiah,
and her offspring are those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

"Neither circumcision not uncircumcision means anything.
What counts is a new creation... the Israel of God." Galatians 6:15-16

The book of Romans also explains how God has created a new Israel, with "ingrafted Gentiles."
In other words, being born of Israel does not save anyone. A person must be born again, born of God.
Both Jew and Gentile become a part of God's Kingdom, equally, by being born again.

The New Testament says Abraham is the father of all those who have faith.
It is by faith in Jesus Christ that we are born again, born into the true Israel of God.
If a person leaves this world without salvation through Jesus, Jew or Gentile, he will be cast into hell.
The book of Galatians also explains that it is all about faith, not about being Jew or Gentile.

To be sure, Israel has a key role in the end times. It is a literal nation, part of God's plan.
But God's plan of redemption centers on His church, that is, ALL born again believers of ALL nations.

The Bible says concerning the Old Testament account of Israel,
"These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us,
on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come." 1 Corinthians 10:11

"I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count,
from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.

"They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.
And they cried out in a loud voice: SALVATION BELONGS TO OUR GOD,

Question: What do Mormons believe?

Answer: Beloved, God warns us in His Word: Beware of false gospels and false apostles! (2 Cor 11)
There are lies of the devil told by servants of Satan to draw you away from the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

The apostle Paul was concerned over the Corinthian church, saying, "I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached... or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough!" (2 Corinthians 11:3-4)

The Corinthians were not discerning!

The Lord warns us, there are "false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ.
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising then if his
servants masquerade as servants of righteousness." (2 Cor. 11:13-15)

The Mormon church claims to preach "faith in Jesus, repentance, baptism, prophecies, visions, healings." They make themselves sound like an evangelical, Bible-believing, Spirit-filled denomination! Nothing could be further from reality! The Mormon church "preaches a Jesus other than the true Jesus." (2 Cor 11:4)

Beloved, be not deceived! Do not give credibility to a lying, deceiving cult that does not lead people to Jesus!
This deceiving cult leads people away from the living God, our Lord Jesus!

The Mormon Church, known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has four accepted scriptures,
called "standard works" - the KJV Bible, the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price.
The KJV Bible is the official version of the Mormons, but they do not accept it as written.
Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon Church, made more than 600 "corrections" to the Bible text.
The Pearl of Great Price includes Smith's "corrections" of Genesis chapters 1-6 and Matthew 24.

Mormons believe there are an infinite number of gods throughout the universe, and each god has his own planet. They believe the god of earth once lived on another planet as a mortal man before attaining "exaltation" or godhood. They believe every man on earth is a potential god. Quote: "As man is, God once was. As God is, man may become."

Mormons believe the Father and Son are two distinct gods. Yes, they believe Jesus and His Father are not the
same God. Christianity recognizes the Father and Son as two Persons of the Trinity, but the same God.
The Father is God, Jesus is God. The same God. But Mormonism teaches they are two separate gods!

They also believe the Father has a wife! And they reject the virgin birth of Jesus.
They believe their Father-god had physical sex with Mary and conceived Jesus.

Mormons use the terminology of Christianity, words like "salvation, atonement, gospel" and they use phrases like "accepting Christ as Savior" but they give a whole new meaning to those words - and to "Christ" and "God." The Mormon god is a Father-god who has a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, etc. etc. etc. He is not the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. He is merely one god among a Mormon pantheon of gods.

Mormons believe salvation is to "become like God" through obedience to the Mormon Church.
All other churches are seen as apostate and as an abomination in the sight of God.

It was to Eve in the garden of Eden that the lying serpent said, "You will be like God."
The Mormons believe that Adam and Eve did the correct thing in eating the forbidden fruit.
They believe that man must become like God, therefore, Adam and Eve helped man to achieve his divine destiny!

Mormons believe Satan's lie, "You will be like God." They believe Jesus is "a god" as they will become a god.
They believe Jesus is merely one god among many, equal to themselves as they become a god.

Mormons believe Jesus will return to earth in Independence, Missouri to begin a 1,000 year reign.
They think Mormons will at that time become gods.

But before the return of Jesus, they believe the United States will come to a constitutional crisis, on the verge of collapse. They believe America will be saved by a Mormon leader. The founder of the Mormon religion,
Joseph Smith, said, "The time will come when the destiny of the nation (USA) will hang upon a single thread.
At that critical juncture, this people (Mormons) will save it from destruction." Their prophet Brigham Young said,
"When the Kingdom of God bears rule, the flag of the United States will proudly flutter."

Mormons believe the Kingdom of God will arise from the rule of one man on earth,
a political figure and spiritual leader. They believe there will be a one-world government
ruled by this Mormon prophet and high priest, ruling the world from America.

Beloved, God has warned us to abhor false gospels. Why? They lead human souls into eternity
without salvation, without Jesus Christ. They preach another "Jesus" - a false gospel with a false christ.

Jesus warned us, "If anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it!
For false christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles
to deceive the elect if that were possible." (Matthew 24:23-24)

The Mormons are false prophets drawing men and women away from
the true Jesus Christ with a false gospel, a false christ.

Question: I've lived a life of sin. I've prayed for forgiveness. How do I stop dwelling on my past life?

Question: How do I overcome sinful thoughts and get peace of mind?

Answer: The writer of Psalm 119 said, "I have hidden Your Word
in my heart that I might not sin against You." Ps 119:11

My friend, you need to replace troubled thoughts with the sweet words of your God.
Fill your mind and heart with the scriptures, by spending time reading the Bible.
Write down scripture verses that stand out to you. God is talking to you as His friend.

Remember that all your sins have been forgiven through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
Through your faith in Christ, the past has been nailed to the cross and has died there.

Spend time often in prayer, in fellowship with God, and spend time with Christians.
As you cultivate your relationship with God and grow in His Word, the past will fade and "be past."

Question: Having been involved in ministry, and having gone through burn out,
how do I now get past seeing church as just business as usual?

Answer: When Jesus walked the earth, He knew the necessity of getting away from the crowd,
finding ample time and space to be alone with the Father, to pray and rest.
"After leaving them, He went up on a mountainside to pray." Mark 6:46

Communion with God, drawing nearer in prayer, being filled up with His Words,
there is nothing better, nothing else can renew our faith. "Draw me nearer, nearer Lord."
When we seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, we regain His vision.
The joy of the Lord is our strength.

Question: I am trying to be a Christian. I have had many years of unbelief.
I actually feel anxious when I read the Bible or go to church.

Answer: Thank you for sharing this, my friend.
The Holy Spirit of God is speaking to your heart right now.
What God wants you to do, my friend, is give your life to Him.

Here is the Good News, the gospel of Jesus Christ, that brings you to God:
God is love, and you were created in God's image to love Him in return.
But we all have sinned against our Creator. And the result of our sin is separation from God.

But God gave His Son Jesus to die for our sins. Christ took our place and suffered for us on the cross.
Then Jesus arose from the dead. Jesus is alive - to give life to us. To be saved from spiritual death,
you must put your faith in Jesus. He will be your Lord and Savior.
It is this Good News that saves you if you truly believe it.

God gives full and complete forgiveness in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus, without any sin or guilt of His own, died to take our punishment upon Himself.
He bore our sins, and suffered in our place.

Will you turn toward God with faith in Jesus and ask Him to save you? A loving God invites you to come
to Him for salvation. He wants you to be rescued from spiritual death, from an eternity without hope.
Salvation is given to anyone who will turn to the Lord and pray to God like this:

"Father God, I'm glad You love me and gave Your Son to die for my sins.
I ask You to please forgive my sins and save me from eternal hell through the Name of Jesus.
As Christ gave His life for me, I now give my life to You. Thank You for saving me. Amen."

My friend, everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved!
The next step is to open up to the Lord and allow Him to begin speaking to your heart.
The Bible is God's Word to you, and He is the God who loves you and saves you.
Come with confidence to the Bible, it is written to you. God will open your mind to His Word.
You might want to begin with the book of John in the New Testament, then next, the book of Acts.

Get to a place of quiet, be alone with God, and talk to Him in prayer often.
Talk with Him as your best Friend - because that is exactly who He is!
Bring all your thoughts and cares and needs to Him, and pray about everything.

Seek fellowship with Christians who strongly believe the Bible is the Word of God.
There are many groups, cults and churches out in the world that are not really Christian.
Be cautious and careful, and pray that the Lord will lead you to a truly Christian church.

Question: These preachers, Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, etc are preaching that
there won't be a great falling away, but the Bible says otherwise.
Are they the elect who have fallen away?

Answer: Thanks for your question. The scripture says the elect would be deceived
in the last days if that were possible. Mark 13:22 Those who were chosen before
the foundations of the earth were laid, the elect of God, cannot be deceived. Those who
"fall away" from the truth are those who profess to belong to Christ, those who use His Name,
but to whom He will say, "I never knew you!" They had never truly given their hearts to Christ,
they were never His people. Their heart belonged to the world from the beginning.

The false prophets deny or ignore the great "falling away" foretold in 2 Thes 2:3.
They are looking for an emergent one-world all-inclusive "church,"
a body calling itself the church but controlled by the spirit of antichrist.
Its voice will be the false prophet, the second beast of Revelation 13.

Question: What about Kenneth Copeland and that bunch?

Answer: Their language sounds "Christian" but beware of the devil's half-truths and lies!

A RED-FLAG is waving at you from Word of Faith teachers proclaiming a worldly gospel.
This is the gospel of the devil, "You will be like God."

"You don't have a god in you, you are one," says Kenneth Copeland.
"You are god. You are a little god on earth," says Benny Hinn.
"I am a little god. Critics be gone. We are gods," says Paul Crouch.
"I am just like Jesus. I am a god," says Creflo Dollar.
These false prophets have gone far astray.

The Word of Faith teachers tell you that your words have power because you are like Jesus.
They bring Jesus down to be as one of them, and they elevate themselves - as if to be like Jesus.
This is the SELF gospel of this world, "I will be like the Most High."

The Word of Faith teachers pervert the words of God, such as, "Ask and receive."
The distinction here is crucial. It is one thing to humbly ASK GOD in faith, and
receive an answer to prayer. But there is a whole new dimension when you believe
that your spoken word has "power" of its own. You are greatly deceived in
thinking you can "release" the power of God, as if you are in control.
At that point you enter into a dark world of demonic spirits,
a world where Satan rules over you and wins your soul.

This is where the world is heading, into a one world religion where man is a "god,"
a god in the making. And at the top of that food-chain is the Antichrist
and the False Prophet. They will ensnare souls of men and women, devour them
and rule the worldly. All these "little gods" will worship the beast.

Question: Why is it God's plan for the sex-drive to be satisfied only in marriage?

Answer: The Bible says "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins are committed outside the body,
but whoever sins sexually sins against his own body. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." 1 Cor 6:18-20

Thanks for your question. First of all, you are correct, it is God's plan that sex be within marriage.
Whoever sins sexually sins against his own body. This is certainly borne out in the reality of
sexually transmitted diseases which are epidemic, especially in areas of the world (like the
United States) where sexual "freedom" is widely accepted. Medical studies abound proving that
the healthiest adults are those who live within a stable, committed marriage.

"Since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her
own husband." 1 Cor 7:2 Why sex only within marriage? "The two will become one flesh.
This is a profound mystery, but I am talking about Christ and the church." Ephesians 5:31-32

God created the man and woman to be united as one. Marriage is a profound illustration of the
relationship between Christ and His Bride, the church. We are joined to Christ in a covenant relationship where He promises absolute faithfulness to us, and we in turn give Him our undivided devotion.

This is God's plan for men and women to establish an intimate relationship. In other words, sex
is not intended for casual use. In the animal kingdom, that may work among animals. But we are
higher beings. God created sex to be an holy, intimate experience between a man committed to his wife, and a wife devoted to her husband. In this way, sex is what God created it to be, a truly joyful
and blessed union, a good and fulfilling bond that is pleasing to God and to our most inner being.

The opposite is true in sex outside of a committed marriage bond. Immoral sex
leaves in its wake broken hearts, broken people and broken lives - children born
without two parents, or worse, abortions, the spread of diseases. But something
much deeper, harder to "see" is the damage done to the human soul. Such profound
intimacy outside of marriage is missing the key element, the bond of holy covenant,
and will never bring fulfillment to the human soul - nor will it have God's blessing.

Question: When good things happen we thank God. When bad things happen we blame the devil.
How much of what happens is our own doing?

Answer: A lot of what happens is our own doing. You raise a good question.
Let's go back to the beginning, recorded in Genesis. We find that God created all things GOOD. (Gen. 1:31)
But the Bible tells us there was rebellion in Heaven when Satan chose to exalt himself above God.
He refused to submit to his Creator and he drew one third of the angels to follow him.
It was Satan who deceived the first woman, Eve, and drew her into sinning against God.

After the first man and woman fell into sin, God cursed the earth as a result. (Gen. 3)
The wasp was given its sting, the snake its poison, the lion its appetite for eating flesh.
The soil would no longer bring forth its crops without man's hard work.
All the good things of the earth were afflicted and affected by God's curse as a result of sin.

Disobedience to God always brings troubles - just as it did in the beginning.
God has said a person will reap what they sow. As you live so shall you reap.

The wonderful thing is that God has UNDONE the curse that was pronounced in the beginning.
When the Father gave His Son to die on the cross for our sins, Jesus took the curse upon Himself.
Whatever sins you have committed, God offers you full forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
God requires of you to turn to Him and put your trust in His Son Jesus, and you will be forgiven.
Instead of being under the curse of death and hell, you will receive the gift of eternal life.

Bad things that happen are a result of the devil's evil and the sins of all humanity.
Good things that happen are a gift from a merciful and loving God.
The best thing that has ever happened is the love of God poured out toward us in the Person of Jesus.

Question: I get afraid because of Bible verses that say things like: Those who don't produce fruit
will be taken away, and there is no more sacrifice for sin. What if I'm not chosen?
My life seems unfruitful and I find it hard to love, easy to get angry.
If I can't feel love, how do I know it's there?

Answer: First of all, be sure of your salvation.

Beloved, put all your trust in God. Believe His Word that you are saved forever. Eternal life begins
when you come to Christ and your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. You are now a living branch
in the True Vine. John 15 God will produce the fruit through you as you abide in Him day by day.
We find it hard to love and do what is right because we cannot do it! Only God can do it! As we
abide in Him, trusting Him to do as He promised, God will bring forth His love through our lives.

You would not care about loving people if not for God's work in your heart. You would not be
concerned about anger and sin if not for God's work in your heart. As you trust in God to finish
the work He has begun in you, day by day, His love will grow in you. Feelings are deceptive. Have faith
that God will keep His promises, and in time the feelings will fall into place as God's work is being done.

Remember that salvation is of the Lord. He is the One who brought you to Himself.
He is the One who gives us the gift of faith so that we might be saved by His grace.
"He is able to KEEP you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault
and with great joy." Jude 24 Our salvation is a work of God that He will finish.

Question: Gandhi was Hindu but he was very Christlike, and the Buddhist Dalai Lama is a good person
as are many Mormons - so don’t you believe good people of every religion go to Heaven?”

Answer: This question is answered very clearly in the Bible.

The belief that “good people of every religion go to Heaven” must be judged by what the Bible says.
In other words, we must examine this belief in the light of God’s Word.
And the Bible tells us this is a false belief.

God says in the Bible that there is no one good.
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10)

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

So the Word of God declares that all people are unworthy and no one can be called good.
“For in Your sight no one living is righteous.” (Psalm 143:2)

The 5th chapter of Revelation reveals an amazing scene to us, recorded by the apostle John,
which can help us understand this wonderful truth:

“I saw a scroll in the right hand of the One seated on the throne...
And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice,
‘Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?’
But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or look inside it…

“I began to weep bitterly, because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or look inside it.
Then one of the elders said to me, ‘Do not weep! Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
the Root of David, has triumphed to open the scroll and its seven seals.’
Then I saw a Lamb who appeared to have been slain, standing in the center of the throne…

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom
and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” (From Rev 5)

Jesus, the Lamb of God, is worthy to open the scroll because He is the only One
found worthy in the eyes of the One who is seated on the throne of Heaven. Only the Son of God
is the Righteous One “who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin.” (Heb 4:15)

“Worthy are You to take the scroll and open its seals, because You were slain,
and by Your blood You purchased for God those from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.” (Rev 5:9)

“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Tim 2:5)
Only Jesus is the Righteous One who could pay the price to purchase human souls out of hell and into Heaven.

“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves.
It is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Eph 2:8-9) The Word of God is clear:
There is only One Way to Heaven, and that is through faith in the Savior Jesus Christ who died for our sins.

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is
no other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed to the Father asking that the cup might pass from Him.
He was asking that He might be spared the suffering of the cross. (Matt 26:39)
But there was no other way for men, women, boys and girls to be saved from eternal hell.
So Jesus went to the cross and paid the ultimate price to rescue us for all eternity.

Any religion or belief that says there is another way to Heaven is a horrible lie.
It denies the awesome love and sacrifice of our Savior who gave His own blood to save us.
Satan offers “many paths to Heaven” - all lies.

Any other gospel, any religion, like Hinduism or Buddhism or Mormonism,
does not honor the Savior who gave His blood on the cross to save us.

God has made only One Way for mankind to escape hell, and He did it at great cost to Himself.
Only the blood of Jesus can atone for our sins.

Question: What about doctrine? It seems to me that Christians are often divided
over doctrine. One Christian will judge another as a heretic if he does not
adhere to a specific doctrinal statement. Is doctrine good or bad for the church?

Answer: Doctrine means "teachings" - and for Christians it means the teachings of the Bible.
The simple statement "Jesus died for our sins" is a Christian doctrine. Obviously,
we cannot abandon doctrine! In order to be born-again, we must believe in Christ crucified!

It's important that we clearly define Christianity vs. heresy for the sake of the church.
For example, if someone teaches that Jesus did not rise from the dead, they would clearly
be a heretic and not a true Christian. Heresy or apostasy is a falling away from the truth, sound doctrine.
It's vital for us to recognize apostasies such as Mormonism, Jehovah's witnesses
and many other cults leading people away from biblical truth, sound doctrine.

The problem comes when we define a Christian by whether or not they agree with us on minor matters.
For example, Christians differ on methods of water baptism (immersion, sprinkling or pouring,
or not at all). A Christian is not defined by such minor issues. I believe doctrinal statements
should include only the essential doctrines of Christianity. We should major on majors and
minor on minors. In other words, hold fast to the essential doctrines that define Christianity - but
be generous in accepting some differences over minor matters.

"I want to remind you of the gospel which you have received and on which you have taken your stand.
By this gospel you are saved if you hold firmly to the Word. For what I received
I passed on to you as of first importance: That Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures,
that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures,
and that He appeared to Peter, and then to the twelve. After that,
He appeared to more than five hundred." 1 Corinthians 15:1-6

Question: I believe in Jesus Christ and I've asked God to forgive my sins.
Will God forgive any sin and every sin?

Answer: God says in the Bible, "If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just and
will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9
Yes, Jesus is the atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 2:2 We can trust God that all our sins
are forgiven forever because of the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Question: I'm a Christian, but I feel overwhelmed with my troubles.
Where is God? Has He forgotten about me?

Answer: You are not alone. There are times when each one of us feels overwhelmed.
But God makes this promise, "The Lord is good, a refuge in time of trouble. He cares for those
who trust in Him." Nahum 1:7 You can be encouraged by reading His promises,
by reading His Word often. I encourage you to pray without ceasing and meditate on
His words in the Bible. Always recall His great love for you poured out on Calvary's cross.
God is Faithful and He will not fail you! "Though You have made me see troubles,
many and bitter, You will restore my life again. From the depths of the earth You will again bring me up.
You will increase my honor and comfort me once again." Psalm 71:20-21
